Second Amy Charity Dinner raises over € 19,800 for underprivileged youth in Cape Town

On Thursday, April 23rd, the second Amy Charity Dinner took place. It was a festive and heartwarming evening entirely dedicated to a good cause. Thanks to the generous contributions of those present, the Amy Netherlands Foundation can transfer a wonderful amount to South Africa

As many as 150 guests gathered at Studio Boxx in Nuenen to enjoy an evening full of delicious food, fine wines, varied entertainment, and an exciting auction. From the very first moment, the atmosphere was warm and supportive. Everyone had come with the same goal in mind: to provide a bright future for young people who need it most.

Direct impact in the townships

The total proceeds of the evening amount to € 19,886.

‘This fantastic amount means that we can transfer a grand total of 375,000 ZAR (South African Rand) to the Amy Foundation,’ stated the board of the Amy Netherlands Foundation. ‘In Cape Town, 100% of this money will be spent on the development and education of underprivileged youth in the townships. We are incredibly grateful to our guests, sponsors, ambassador, and volunteers for this amazing result.’

The Amy Foundation offers these young people a safe environment after school, where they learn the skills to build a stable future and break the vicious cycle of poverty through various programs (such as sports, culture, and vocational training). With the proceeds of the Amy Charity Dinner 2026, 42 young people will receive free daily lessons, a daily meal, field trips, holiday programs, and nature camps for an entire year. They are given hope and a future.
