702’s My Jozi Walk

“Every Step Builds a Future Leader” Joint Prosperity Joins 702 Walk the Talk to Fund Youth

Employment and Entrepreneurship for Amy Foundation

On the 26th July, something powerful will happen on the streets of Johannesburg, not just a walk, but a

movement.

Joint Prosperity will be lacing up for 702’s Jozi My Jozi Walk the Talk 2026, taking on either 5km, 8km or

15km, not simply to complete a route, but to lead the way in shaping South Africa’s future leaders.

Every kilometre walked will directly raise funds for young people enrolled in the Amy Foundation’s Youth

Skills Development and Entrepreneurship Programme, a proven pathway that moves youth from

unemployment to employment, and from potential to purpose. This is more than a fundraising initiative. It

is a direct investment in breaking cycles of poverty.

The Amy Foundation works with young people from communities impacted by unemployment, inequality,

violence, and limited access to opportunity. Through a holistic model that includes academic support,

vocational training, arts and culture, sport, psychosocial support, entrepreneurship training, and work-

readiness preparation, the Foundation equips young people not just to survive but to thrive.

To date, 2,550 learners have been placed into employment and more than 300 businesses have

been started by Amy Foundation graduates. Each participant costs approximately R12 000 to train,

mentor, and support into employment or entrepreneurship fully funded through donor support.

Through this integrated approach, the Foundation is actively building pathways into employment and

entrepreneurship, strengthening communities and contributing to a more inclusive South African

economy.

Every kilometre walked becomes a real-world opportunity:

A young entrepreneur launched.

A first job secured

A future rewritten:

Every step builds a future leader. Every step creates opportunity. Every step is an investment in

transformation.

Hilary George, Youth Skills Development Programme Manager, explains, “When young people are

given structured skills, mentorship, and belief in their own potential, we see extraordinary transformation.

What starts as uncertainty becomes confidence, and what feels like limitation becomes leadership.”

Kevin Chaplin, Managing Director, continues, “This partnership is about action. Every kilometre

walked translates into real training, real opportunity, and real employment. We are not just developing

skills, we are changing life trajectories.”

Joint Prosperity brings deep expertise in bridging the gap between strategy and execution, helping

organisations understand what drives people, performance, and culture. Their work empowers leaders to

grow talent, manage change, and build high-performing environments. This collaboration with the Amy

Foundation is rooted in a shared belief: sustainable prosperity is built through people.

At Joint Prosperity, we believe deeply in the vision and impact of the Amy Foundation, because lasting

change begins with investing in people. Kindness, courage, resilience, and heart are not developed

overnight; they take shape from a young age. By investing in young people and helping them realise

their potential, we are contributing to a future where individuals, businesses, and communities can thrive.

Together, we can help build a brighter tomorrow—one where exceptional people create exceptional

possibilities.”

Together, the target is to raise R60,000 through a BackaBuddy campaign, enough to fully fund at least 5

young people through training, mentorship, and placement into employment or entrepreneurship.

From Unemployment to Opportunity

The Amy Foundation’s impact is already measurable, but the need remains urgent. Each young person

represents a story waiting to be rewritten, and each donation becomes part of that transformation.
