Valentines Cup 2018
On Friday 16 February 2018, the Valentines Cup will be held on the golf course Strand in Strand Z-Afrika.
Golf friends from different golf clubs from different countries play for a charity of the Amy Foundation .
Volunteers and teachers of this foundation receive the children from the townships and let them participate in all kinds of post-school programs with sports, music, dance, language, education etc.
The 2017 edition has yielded R 60,000 (approx. € 4,200).
In consultation with Kevin Chaplin, managing director of the Foundation, the amount was spent on the use of extra teachers.
“The result is jobs for 150 Youngsters,” according to the enthusiast Kevin.
In 2018 we will also use the money for that purpose.
You are welcome. We strive to meet around 60 golfers on this special day.
The children of the Amy Foundation will prepare an authentic Braai for the participants and thank us with South African music and dance.
We hereby thank the friends who could not attend the 2017 edition, but have transferred an amount.

Strand Golf Club
This Golf Course was designed by Golf Data in 1994
Course Description: Parklands | Holes: 18 | Meters: 6235 | Length: 6235 | Rating: 70 | Par: 72
A course with contrasting 9’s and excellent greens. It is a friendly “open” golf course which can change dramatically when the wind blows.
Morning golf is often easier than afternoon rounds.
