Gugulethu
Siyazingisa
The Amy Foundation Afterschool Programme Centres at Siyazingisa Primary School in Gugulethu each serve an average of 250 children. They attend Monday to Thursday afternoon each week. The programme is offered free of charge to the learners. A similar programme is held every morning during the school holidays. Children are offered something to eat and drink
Learners can choose from the variety of programmes which we have on offer depending upon available facilitators: Marimba, Traditional Dance, Literacy for the Intermediate Phase, Greening (vegetable gardening) and Environmental Education, Drama, Peer Education (life skills), Foundation Phase (basic literacy, maths and motor skills development through play), Choir, Kwaito Dance, Sports (Netball, Soccer, Hockey and Cricket). Classes are taught by our very dedicated and enthusiastic facilitation staff.
At Siyazingisa Afterschool Centre we are very fortunate to have Uthando South Africa as one of our partners. Uthando South Africa run tours focusing on social improvement and innovation in SA and from time-to-time they bring visitors to see our work and the positive impact we are having on the community.

Bonteheuwel
Bonteheuwel
The after school programmes were started to keep the children and youth of Bonteheuwel off the streets and to provide them with a safe environment to learn and engage with others. These programmes take place at Mimosa Primary School and Bonteheuwel High School.
Mimosa Primary School
Programmes on offer:
- Academic Support including foundation phase and intermediate phase
- Arts and Culture including dance (hip-hop)
- Sports including soccer
The programme start at 14h30 until 17h00 and operates Monday to Thursday.
There are 250 learners that partake in the Mimosa after school programme.

Bonteheuwel High School
Programmes on offer:
- Arts and Culture including dance (hip-hop)
- Sports including soccer
The programme start at 15h30 until 17h30 and operates Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
There are 30 learners who partakes in the programmes at Bonteheuwel High School.
