Ping Pong at the Amy Foundation Siyazingisa After School Centre

The installation of the very safe and extremely solid  PingOut SA table has been phenomenal for the Siyazingisa After school centre in Gugulethu – the children thoroughly enjoy the new equipment and introduction to this new exciting fast paced sport.

As a vector for youth development, sports programmes play an essential role in promoting sustainable social development for future generations.  Sport can be a powerful tool to promote child and youth development. By providing sporting opportunities for young people, PingOut SA Table Tennis and the Amy Foundation strive to help develop transferable life skills – characteristics such as leadership, perseverance, social and moral character, self-esteem, commitment to teamwork, problem-solving, and organisational ability,  social sports builds resilience. Sports command a proven power to cross barriers, create communities and unite nations, to affect the heart and the mind, from the richest man to the poorest child.

The Amy Foundation formerly the Amy Biehl Foundation is always looking for ways to improve and develop our programmes and having this on site elevates our sport programmes to another level.

Thank you Uthando South Africa for this opportunity to help us change more lives!
